| Kobe Steel Air Separation Plants |
| Kobe Steel has long been a pioneer in the field of air separation systems, beginning with the inhouse development of Japan's first such equipment in 1934. By 1936, we had already produced our first high volume plant, at 2,000 Nm3/h then the world's largest. Since that time we have continued to refine and expand our response to the constantly evolving needs of the industry, playing an active role at the forefront of low temperature and gas separation technology. A multifaceted high tech corporation, Kobe Steel has built extensive expertise throughout a range of related fields, from ferrous and non-ferrous materials to industrial tools and equipment, plant engineering and fabrication. And our new-bussiness division explores promising new ideas in fields such as information electronics. This comprehensive experience provides solid support for ongoing R&D, generating continued refinement in our air separation systems. A total of seven medium and large scale separation plants at our Kobe and Kakogawa iron works provide valuable hands-on feedback that helps us further improve the already impressibe automation, efficiency and reliability of these plants. Our basic line of following three standard models ranges from large scale to small scale plants. Aside from the standard series, we will custom design and manufacture devices according to individual users' type and capacity requirements. |
