News Mail Service Agreement
Kobe Steel, Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company" ) will
provide News Mail service ( hereinafter referred to as the "Service")
including the latest news on the Company to subscribers who have completed
registering with the Service (hereinafter referred to as the "Subscribers"
). To register, you need to agree with this Agreement. In receiving the
Service, Subscribers are requested to observe this Agreement.
Registration
(1)
The Company accepts registration
from visitors to the Company's Web site.
(2)
To register for the Service,
Subscribers need to input accurate personal data.
(3)
Whenever the personal data
changes, Subscribers need to update the data on the Registration Form.
If Subscribers do not receive the Service because they fail to update
the data, the Company shall not be held responsible for not sending
the Service.
(4)
If the personal data registered
or updated (hereinafter referred to as the "Regtered Data")
according to (2) and (3) above is found to be false, the Company has
the right to reject the registration.
(5)
If a Subscriber does not
observe this Agreement, or if the Company considers it necessary due
to particular circumstances, the Coompany has the right to suspend
without notice the Service to the Subscriber.
ID and Password
Subscribers are responsible for the security of their
ID and Password. If your ID is used by somebody without permission, or if
your ID or password leaks out to a third party, please contact us immediately.
Privacy
In principle, the Company will not disclose personal information of the
Subscribers. However, the Company may disclose the information if:
(1)
The Subscriber consents
to disclosure of the information in advance.
(2)
Disclosure of the information
is required by law.
(3)
There is a special stipulation
regarding disclosure of the information in this Agreement.
The Company will provide information about various products and services
through e-mail.
Service
(1)
The Company will provide
Subscribers with the Service free of charge.
(2)
The Service includes the
following:
1. Providing information
by e-mail about updates of the Company's Web site and various products
of the Company and its group companies.
2. Other services that will be notified by the Company
Change of Service
The Company may change, suspend or discontinue the
Service without notice whenever the Company regards it necessary. The Company
shall bear no responsibility to Subscribers or third parties if the Company
changes, suspends or discontinues the Service.
Unsubscribing
If you would like to unsubscribe the News Mail, please follow the procedures
for unsubscribing on the page for registrants. The Company will remove your
name from its list and stop the Service within 14 days.
Exemption
The Company shall assure Subscribers of no guarantee about the Service or
information that Subscribers obtain through the Service.
Subscribers are responsible for providing their own computers, devices and
software to receive the Service. Subscribers are also responsible for paying
telecommunication fees incurred in using the Internet.
Change of Agreement
After notifying Subscribers through e-mail, the Company can change this
Agreement without the consent of the Subscribers.
Governing Law and Competent Court
(1)
This Agreement is provided
under the laws of Japan. Subscribers are requested to observe the
laws in receiving the Service.
(2)
If a lawsuit is started
betweenuit is started between the Company and a Subscriber or a third
party in regard to the Service, Tokyo District Court will have jurisdiction.
Enforcement
This Agreement is effective from April 1, 2000.
