Since its foundation in 1905, the Kobe Steel Group has been supporting industry and society through manufacturing.
We're engaged in a wide range of fields centered on materials and machinery. The materials businesses comprise iron and steel, welding, and aluminum and copper products. Machinery includes industrial and construction machinery, engineering and environmental solutions. Other businesses are wholesale power supply, real estate and electronic materials. In every age, we have supplied products and technologies that offer the creative, added value demanded by industry and society.
We now live in times that call for forward-looking solutions to complex and wide-ranging problems, including reducing the burden on the environment. Through the strength of monozukuri (or manufacturing), the Kobe Steel Group will contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
2013 Editorial Policy
The contents of this report were selected and compiled by the Publication Subcommittee of the CSR Committee, in discussion with the various business units. Contents were organized according to three editorial themes, with reference to issues of high concern for our stakeholders as well as items of materiality to our business operations.
