Amagasaki Works - We have continued to engage in companywide environmental efforts, not only at the plant but also at all sales offices, since obtaining Eco-Action 21 certification in 2007. It has already been six years and we are now stepping up our activities in preparation for an inspection to renew our certification for the third time. Thus far we have achieved sound results on targets set for reducing CO2 emissions and the levels of waste and wastewater. Additionally, in an effort to save energy in the face of anxiety about power supply shortages that have been unpredictable since the Great East Japan Earthquake, we will continue taking initiatives, without exceptions, to further reduce our environmental impact by improving production efficiency, mainly through the updating of equipment.
