Kobe Precision Technology Sdn. Bhd. has been carrying out volunteer relief activities for flood damage caused by heavy rains that have fallen in regions throughout Malaysia since late 2014, particularly in two districts where damage was significant. In January 2015 volunteers visited facilities damaged by such floods to offer assistance. The focus was on cleanup of the buildings' interiors (scraping off mud, washing furniture, removing debris, etc.).

Employees and their families were also among those affected by the floods. We hope that relief efforts will help in some small way to reduce the burdens on all those affected.

Once per year, the welfare committee made up of employee volunteers at Kobe CH Wire (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (KCH) collect donations (sporting equipment, stationery, monetary donations, etc.) from inside and outside the company for schools on the outskirts of the city. The activity, which was started independently by employees in 2009 to celebrate the company's 10th anniversary, has now entered its sixth year. On September 11, 2014 a variety of items were donated to Wat Sri Phawang School in Ayutthaya Province.

Volunteer activities at KCH are designed to assist in the healthy development of Thailand's less fortunate children. When selecting schools for aid, KCH welfare committee members first investigate schools online and then visit in person before making their decision.

Kobelco & Materials Copper Tube (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has begun offering support for children living in the rural and mountainous regions of Thailand where opportunities for education and amusement can be limited. Employees visit schools in these regions to carry out cleaning and repairs and to engage in sports and recreational activities, such as volleyball and soccer, with the children. They also donate presents such as snacks, stationery and toys.

The company also carries out factory tours, which offer a chance to educate visitors on the manufacturing process and environmental conservation activities.
