The Iron and Steel Business produces materials that support the infrastructure of industrialized society.We are constantly striving to develop new products that meet changing needs.Our titanium products in particular are finding exciting new markets. We have also developed environment-friendly chromium-free steel sheet and lubricated steel sheet. Other new products are specialty steels and high strength steel sheet, which help to reduce car weight. And we're also in the independent power producer business.Our global business is growing and a good example is PRO-TEC Coating Company, our U.S. joint venture with U.S. steel that produces hot dip galvanized steel sheet.
Titanium
As a titanium pioneer, Kobe Steel has continued to produce high quality titanium products in our own Production facilities, best suited to titanium manufacturing.
Steel Power
State-of-the-art production facilities and techniques combine to ensure that our high-purity, atomized steel powders provide customers with superior compressibility and compactibility.
Independent power produstor(IPP)
With an electricity generating capacity of 1.4 million kW, the Shinko Kobe Power Station is Japan's largest independent power producer.
