Group-wide Environmental Administration Structure In the Environmental Management Committee, specific approaching plans are formulated and promoted by the Planning Committee, a subordinate organization. Particular themes are pursued by subcommittees. , Kobe Steel has also set up environment sections in the internal companies, branch offices, works and plants. These sections work closely together in environmental efforts. In addition, Kobe Steel is promoting cooperation with the environmental sections of its group companies. Environmental Management based on ISO14001 Certification Kobe Steel is actively working to achieve ISO 14001 certification, an international standard for environmental administration systems, in order to implement sustainable initiatives more efficiently.
