Energy Usage during Manufacturing Processes

In fiscal 2018, Kobe Steel, Ltd. used a total of 191 PJ of energy (equivalent to 4.94 million kl of crude oil) in all of its business divisions. Of that total, approximately 95 percent was used in the Iron & Steel Business and approximately 5 percent in Aluminum & Copper Business.

Energy usage in fiscal 2018 was 7 percent less than the previous fiscal year.
