For over 100 years, Kobe Steel’s Machinery Business Division has provided various machinery and equipment to meet customers’ needs. Much of this equipment is vital in customers’ production facilities, creating customer value and solving social issues. This special issue, entitled “KOBELCO Machinery - Stay Close to Customers’ Value Creation,” introduces Kobe Steel’s machinery and technologies that support our customers’ production and contribute to realizing a better global environment and providing new value.

Feature-Ⅱ: KOBELCO’s Materials and Solutions for Architecture and Civil Engineering

The Kobelco Group has provided a wide range of materials and solutions in the fields of architecture and civil engineering. In recent years, social issues such as increasingly severe natural disasters, labor shortages due to a declining birthrate and aging population, and greenhouse gas reduction have been attracting increasing attention. This special issue introduces KOBELCO-X, an initiative aimed at making Kobelco an even more attractive company, as well as the Kobelco Group’s materials and solutions in the fields of architecture and civil engineering. This issue also takes a detailed look at the latest technologies and solutions that contribute to resolving challenges in line with the Kobelco Group’s materiality (key issues).
