Midrex and Primetals sign contract to supply MIDREX^® Flex Plant for Eurasian Resources Group in Kazakhstan

Midrex Technologies, Inc., a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of Kobe Steel, and its consortium partner Primetals Technologies, have signed with Eurasian Resources Group (ERG) for the supply of a MIDREX^® Flex plant in Rudney, Kzakhstan with an annual HBI production capacity of 2.0 million tons. The construction will be carried out by the Group’s subsidiary QazIron ERG LLP, with commissioning planned for 2029.
