Customers and Business Partners
Leader Meetings for Monozukuri Promotion are held regularly to strengthen monozukuri promotion initiatives. Representatives from each plant attend. At the meetings, representatives share examples of cutting-edge manufacturing occurring within and outside the company, as well as examples of improvements implemented at their plants.
Shareholders and Investors
Since 2007, the Kobe Steel Group has been holding yearly facility tours for shareholders to increase awareness of the Group's activities. To date, a total of 13 tours have been held at six locations with 3,535 shareholders participating.
Members of the Community
The Kobe Steel Rugby Club, the Kobelco Steelers, contributes to society through sports in a variety of ways, including support for high school rugby and relief efforts related to the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake.
Communities Outside Japan
Kobelco Construction Machinery Co., Ltd., in cooperation with Hiroshima University, supports forest conservation activities in Malaysia. Five employees participated in a tree-planting ceremony held at Pasoh, Malaysia. The event also included cultural exchange with elementary and middle school children.
Employees
We strive to create work environments that maintain work-life balance. In November 2012 we acquired the Kurumin Mark, which certifies our efforts to support childrearing by employees.
