1938	Reclaimed land along coast of Chofu and began construction of plant
1939	Started operations as an aluminum alloy materials plant
1945	Added copper and copper alloys to production lineup
1972	Completed 150,000 m² of land reclamation
1979	Consolidated production of wrought copper strip product at the Chofu Plant.
1981 1982	Completed wrought copper melting plant on the reclaimed land
1985	Expanded cold rolling capacity for copper sheets and strips to enhance electronic materials business
1989	Renamed the Chofu Plant to Chofu Works
1995	Expanded production of large-diameter copper coils in the copper division
1997	Implemented construction to improve quality of thin copper sheets in the copper division
2009	Updated a series of facilities at the copper strip plant (including melting furnace, cold rolling mill, annealing furnace, and plating line)
2012	Automated hot rolling mill and upgraded electrical components
2016	Expanded reflow Sn (tin) plating line
2019	Enhanced melting and annealing furnaces to strengthen sales of copper alloys
